Excellent service, received the product next day. The phone holder fits the phone perfectly and can be securely mounted on the car’s screen. In fact it fits so tight that sometimes it may leave a small scratch on the back of the phone, but this can be avoided if you use it carefully. The charger works well to although i still haven’t used the charger on a long drive

Arrived quickly, is well made and as a windscreen mount – attaches very well & stays in position. It holds the Desire very tightly and if you’re not careful can scratch the sides and back when you place it in the holder. Great value and until an official HTC holder arrives this will do. One additional note is that having put an invisible shield on the phone it will ‘just’ fit in the holder, not great.

EDIT; 08/06/10

with an invisible shield on you HTC desire it will no longer fit in the holder, shame as it has rendered it useless for me. Also make sure you put the kit together properly, this will eliminate any scratching

Fits the HTC Desire perfectly – seems to be of high quality components too. Haven’t had the scratching problem that some others have pointed out.

Does exactly what it says. It's sturdy and good quality, and holds the phone perfectly (HTC Desire). Good strong suction cup too.

It works well. The suction is strong and it has space on either side to connect charger and output to car stereo.It may scratch the case if you don’t remember to open the latch first but that is the price you pay for a snug fit.

loose fit

good service from shop,however my htc desire must be smaller than the other customers because mine is a loose fit shame it didn,t have some foam pads to stop phone from moving in holder also arm isn,t really long enough to bring phone far enough back from windscreen without putting it high up(ihave vauxhall vectra with deep windscreen}It,s usable and cheap so it will do until i can get something better

So, first, yes this does the job. Sucker is strong, arm locks in place.

Problems:

1) The hold is a little loose, I can’t plug in the car charger without having to hold the phone down.

2) Adjustment gives fixed click-steps, not a continuous range of adjustment.

3) The arm is quite short, so in portrait mode the rake of my windscreen means I can’t just slide the phone straight up. I think I’d prefer having the phone a little closer too (but still low down to keep my field of view clear)

Well the suction cup is nice and secure and the arm is very stiff so it will not move no matter how bad you’re driving. However the tightness of the fit does give the impression that it will cause some wear on your phone. Also critically the provided car charger cannot be plugged in when your phone is sitting in the holder. School boy error, so if you buy this get some sandpaper too.

The holder itself is very good, but has a major bug:

The charger does not fit well when to HD2 is in the holder. I had to peel some of the plastic to secure the charger.

The charger is only 0.5A output – not enough for the HD2
